Welcome to the Blog page for ‘Too Young for cancer in Canada’, my Young adult (18-45) cancer support group.

Too many Young Canadians are diganosed with cancer each year and have nowhere to turn. When I was diagnosed with locally advanced cancer in 2008, I had been misdiganosed for almost a year, and felt completely isolated and alone.

I started a group to address the social needs of other YA’s dealing with stupid cancer; whether you’re currently in treatment, in ‘remission’ or trying alternative treatments, to be here for each other.

Activities included ‘Tea times’, car shows, beach days, Pub nights etc.

There is now a Young adult specific group in Wellspring in Toronto and we are welcome to use the facilities at Wellspring London and Stratford so I encourage any YA survivors to do so!
